Season ticket pricing and selling policy were high on the agenda for the Forfar Athletic Directors at their meeting last Thursday.
This is especially so given the number of supporters who have been in touch with ‘Loons’ officials either personally or through social media channels wishing to support the Club by purchasing or renewing their ticket. This is despite the fact that there is no guarantee that spectators will be permitted at matches in the near future, with further guidance on this matter awaited from the Government and the football authorities.
Pricing
Back to the basics and with a truncated season ahead of us, the Directors have naturally reduced the prices of the tickets for the forthcoming season accordingly.
An Adult ticket will cost £150
A Concession ticket (65 & over) will cost £80
An Under 17 tickets will cost £40
An Under 14 ticket will cost £25
Season tickets are valid for all thirteen home League One fixtures plus on this occasion, the Betfred Cup tie v Brora Rangers on November 10th and all friendly fixtures, again emphasising the point that at present we cannot guarantee admission.
However in the testing times we live in at present, it is the duty of Club officials to clarify as best they can the current position for those purchasing a ticket. There is no guarantee that spectators will be admitted to fixtures this season though we all live in hope.
Season ticket holders will obviously have priority in the first instance when restrictions are lifted.
Due to social distancing measures, stand seating, in particular, will be severely restricted at Station Park. Therefore we will be unable to sell reserved seating or for that matter guarantee any ticket holder a seat even when restrictions are eased. A rota scheme may well require to be implemented. This will be an even bigger problem if as has been mentioned in some quarters, entry to matches in the first instance may be restricted to seating areas only.
Ticket Sales
Online: Season Tickets can for the first time be purchased online and a further update will be posted this week with the required weblink and details.
In-person: Our printers are already busy on the production of the tickets and once they are to hand we will also advise supporters of selling times for those who still wish to purchase their tickets personally at Station Park.
Live Streaming
Now for some good news – we are currently working to install the necessary camera kit to provide a live streaming service for all home League matches and the Brora Rangers Betfred Cup Group match on the basis that these games are played behind closed doors or with restricted admission.
This live streaming service will be made available to all 2020-21 Adult and Concession season ticket holders as part of their season ticket package priced as above.
Please note that the live streaming element will not be available as part of the U’17 or U’14 season ticket packages.
There will also be a pay-per-view option to purchase live stream access for the Betfred Cup Group match v Hibernian on 13 October. (Please note that this is not part of the season ticket package and will need to be purchased separately).
Further information will be provided about the live streaming service in due course.
The Directors of Forfar Athletic would like to thank all ‘Loons’ fans from near and far for all their messages of support in these trying times for all football clubs and look forward to your support in the months ahead.
