Forfar Athletic manager Gary Bollan and club officials were delighted this evening when two of the younger players in the first team pool agreed extensions to their current contracts.
Nineteen year old defender Michael Kennedy a regular first team starter in recent weeks put pen to paper on a further two year deal, while twenty year old striker Kerr Hay committed himself to the Station Park outfit till the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
Michael originally signed for the Athies on an amateur registration in the spring of 2014, his grandfather Tom Kennedy having also worn the Forfar colours as a left sided defender in the early sixties.
Kerr a product of the Dens Park youth system has been at Station Park, also originally on an amateur registration since February 2013.
Both have played an integral part in the successful Development League team over the past two seasons and their decision to commit their future to the club is a great boost as the ‘Loons’ enter such a crucial few weeks of league action.
