NEW DIRECTION FOR LOONS MERCHANDISE

Never let it be said that at Station Park the close season is a time to sit back and relax. As well as the normal park maintenance over this now shorter period, fans will no doubt recall the major alterations over the past few years, including the 3g pitch, the floodlight upgrade, the hospitality complex and the new dugouts. This year will be no exception.
After many years under the excellent management of Cameron Davidson, who is stepping down from this role, the Forfar Athletic Merchandise operation will, from next season, be under a new team headed up by Aisling FitzGerald, assisted by Lesa Taylor and Louise Taylor. Not only this but in new premises currently being installed.
Under the watchful eye and careful management of Vice- Chairman, Dennis Fenton, this project is already ahead of schedule. The old unused turnstile block at the East End has been replaced by a bright new cabin. This has been donated to the Club by Mark and Robin Guild of local building firm Guild Homes who also assisted in demolishing the old turnstile block. However this is not the only local firm who have generously donated to this project and we also have to thank Geddes of Swirlburn for transporting and locating the new unit into the Park, G.R.C. Skip Hire for the removal of the rubble, Jamie Milne Electrical for the necessary wiring and last but not least our own resident Brickie and Superfan, Geordie Davidson, for the groundworks.
As ever the local community has pulled together to support the Loons and the club is very grateful to everyone for their help. We hope that a few more local tradesmen will be willing to assist with the painting and re-fitting of the inside of the cabin in the coming weeks. On that note if any local businesses have any shop fittings they would be willing to donate please contact the club.
