Irn Bru Cup First Round Draw

The first round draw for the irn Bru Challenge Cup was made at Hampden Park today.

Our near neighbours Arbroath were handed the nightmare scenario of a second trip to Inverness in three days.

Already due to meet Caley Thistle in the Highland Capital on Sunday July 31st in their final Betfred League Cup tie, they are now due to return in midweek to face the Inverness outfit’s Under 20 side in the first round of the re-vamped tournament.

The ‘Loons’ enter the competition at the second round stage along with the other seven clubs who finished 3rd/10th in the Ladbrokes League 1 last season plus East Fife and Elgin City.
