MATCH PREVIEW: Forfar Athletic v Raith Rovers

Forfar Athletic make one of their earliest starts to a campaign in their history when they entertain Championship oufit Raith Rovers in the first of five pre-season friendlies at Station Park on Tuesday evening, the kick-off at 7.45p.m.
Home supporters will be able to view four of Gary Bollan’s to date six summer signings in action with Grant Adam, Jamie Bain, David Cox and Lewis Milne set to make an appearance. Jim Lister is unavailable due to work commitments, while the returning Stuart Malcolm is on a family holiday.
One or two of the squad are carrying slight knocks, while at least a couple of ‘trialsits’ will feature in the starting line-up.
Raith now under the stewardship of Gary Locke and Darren Jackson following Ray McKinnon’s move to pastures new in the close season welcome goalkeeper Aaron Lennox from Aberdeen on loan, while Bobby Barr has been captured from Morton, Kevin McHattie and Chris Johnston arriving from Locke’s former club Kilmarnock.
Striker Lewis Vaughan also returns to the ranks after missing almost all of last season through injury.
Experienced whistler Stephen Finnie will be in charge of proceedings.
Admission prices are £8 for adults, £4 concessions.
Forfar Athletic season tickets are valid for this game and they will also be on sale in the 1984 Lounge from 7p.m. till kick-off.
The 1984 Lounge facility will be open in fact from 6.30p.m. till 7.45p.m. with supporters of both sides welcome to enjoy a pre-match refreshment.
Fixture Cards available free of charge can be obtained on the night from the Refreshment Kiosk, the new Club Shop situated adjacent to the main turnstile block which is well worth a visit or from within the 1984 Lounge.
A few team lines will also be available from the same outlets prior to kick-off.
