Burns Supper
[Saturday, 04 February 2017 10:59]
The club staged their now annual Burns Supper in the 1984 Lounge last night.
t was reasonably well attended and certainly no one left disappointed either by the entertainment or food on offer throughout the evening.
Jim Gibb proposed the Immortal Memory, while Rodger Brunton in his own inimitable style proposed the Toast to the Lassies, the reply given with her own brand of humour by Nadine Robertson.
John Fyfe treated the audience to his own brand of Dundee wit, alongside a song or two by the ‘Bard’, while Bob Charlton gave a resounding rendition of Tam O’ Shanter.
Music and song was provided at intervals throughout the evening by die hard ‘Loons’ fan Jim Brown accompanied by Vic Allan and Ken Orrock.
Congratulations are once again in order to Club Director Bob Charlton who organised the evening and a big thank you to all who supported this latest venture on the club’s busy schedule.
Next on the agenda is a Rod Stewart Tribute evening in the 1984 Lounge on Friday evening of next week.
There are still a handful of tickets available for this event.
