Tribute Night – Another Success Story
[Saturday, 11 February 2017 10:54]
An audience of just over sixty had a ball in the 1984 Lounge last night as they sang and danced the night away at a Rod Stewart Tribute Act evening, the latest fund raiser to be staged by ‘Loons’ officials.
‘Rod’ (James Frew) himself was in sparkling form and without doubt ‘brought the house down,’ performing for nearly two hours in total over a couple of visits to the stage.
Special thanks to Scott Murdie and Lesley Deas the main organisers of the evening and to all who backed this latest venture.
March is already scheduled to be a very busy month for the club.
Sold out signs have already been posted for the evening with Jim Spence and Friends namely Archie Knox, Bob Valentine and Gary Bollan in the 1984 Lounge on March 10th.
The ‘action’ moves to the Reid Hall on Sunday March 19th for the spring Scottish Spectacular Concert. Mike McEwan will no doubt have tickets on sale for that ever popular show very shortly.
Then on Friday March 31st, the Reid Hall is again the venue for the Annual Ladies Dinner, all available tables having been snapped up many weeks ago, much to the delight of the group of ladies who have been working behind the scenes organising and promoting the Dinner since the summer of last year.
The Directors of Forfar Athletic Football Club are at times almost overwhelmed by the support these events attract, but it makes it so worthwhile for the army of volunteers who work tirelessly on the club’s behalf to make them all nights to remember, but also great revenue streams for the club itself.
We could not survive as we do without you all.
