Summary/team news – The ‘Loons head into Saturday’s home game with Stranraer on the back of their excellent victory over Dumbarton last Saturday. Jim Weir will obviously be hoping to have the same squad available to him for the visit of Steve Farrell’s side plus of course Andy Munro, but Dale Hilson is a doubt following the back injury he received in the dying embers of the game at C&G Stadium. However, Dale was moving a lot easier at Livingston on Tuesday night than he was as he limped away from Dumbarton on the early Saturday evening so we live in hope.
Lewis Moore and Aidan Wilson unavailable in midweek for the Irn Bru tie return to action in ‘Loons’ colours, while Marc McCallum will be back between the ‘sticks.’
Stranraer like many clubs have had a big turnaround in players in the summer months with eleven new recruits including former Queens Park duo Luke Donnelly and Adam Cummins as well as former Brechin and Alloa striker Isaac Layne.
They began their league campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Raith Rovers before losing 3-1 at Gayfield last weekend.
Last season the two Station Park clashes between the sides ended in a 1-1 draw and a 5-1 home success, although Stranraer were comfortable winners of both games down at Stair Park.
