Summary – There is not a lot one can say about Saturday’s fixture other than this the sixth clash between the ‘Loons’ and the ‘Rovers’ is, without doubt, the most important fixture of the season to date for both sides.
The ‘carrot’ at the end of either 90 or 120 minutes of action, a place in next week’s Play-Off Final, the winner of that two leg affair heading to the Championship for the 2019/20 season.
Raith go into the game with a one-goal advantage from Tuesday night’s high-intensity first leg,
Interestingly in the aftermath of that fixture a Raith official commented on how both teams have been so almost frighteningly closely matched in recent encounters and no one could argue that case.
Both teams seemed to get through Tuesday’s ninety minutes unscathed, but both managers will as ever have options if they see fit to freshen up their starting line-ups.
Forfar’s home form in recent times has been amazing, the last team to lower their colours at Station Park, Arbroath with a controversial 3-2 win away back in early December.
Since then nine wins and one draw have been the impressive record and all Athies fans will be hoping for win number ten in that sequence this weekend.
Michael Travis and his colleagues have had fantastic support both home and away in recent times and it is hoped it will be more of the same on Saturday from both terracing and stand with a substantial travelling support likely.
C’mon the ‘Loons.’
