Loons head to Annan on opening day

Forfar Athletic will begin their cinch League 2 campaign on July 31st with a lengthy trip to face Annan Athletic , before entertaining Edinburgh City a week later at Station Park.

SPFL newcomers Kelty Hearts will make their first visit to Forfar on the 14th of August, the Athies first competitive game at New Central Park scheduled for November 13th.

Stenhousemuir will be the visitors to Station Park on Boxing Day as they will be on the last day of the scheduled league campaign, while a trip to Elgin awaits on January 2nd.

Edinburgh City are playing their home games this season on a Friday evening as an experiment with the full blessing of league officials.

The hope of everyone involved at this stage has to be that the season will be completed this time round with no covid related interruptions and that in fact normality returns to everyday life and with it football and the staging of games at all levels sooner rather than later.
