Pre-Season Fixtures

As has been previously intimated Forfar Athletic will play two home Pre-Season friendly fixtures.

Dundee will be the visitors to Station Park on Saturday, June 26^th, Cove Rangers providing the opposition a week later on July 3^rd.

Both games it should be noted will have a 2 p.m. kick-off.

‘Loons’ officials can now confirm that admission to these games will be limited to Forfar Athletic season ticket holders only, subject to approval from the local and football authorities as we begin the gradual return to some sporting normality.

All season ticket holders will receive full detail of match arrangements next week either by email or through the club’s social media channels.

However, at this early stage, we would emphasise that due to the excessive ‘outdoor’ social distancing measures imposed on football clubs in Scotland at present, stand seating may well have to be limited.

The north terracing will also be out of bounds.

This is an ever-evolving scenario for all clubs and hopefully some relaxation to the rules in regard to staging sporting events are in the pipeline.

It certainly seems strange that in Scotland according to press reports this week that the Old Firm may only be allowed 2,000 fans at early-season home fixtures, while in England they are speaking about stadiums full to capacity!

Back to our own ‘backyard’ and Forfar Athletic officials will review the situation following the Dundee fixture and then put plans in place for our two home Premier Sports Cup ties on July 10^th & 13^th.
