Premier Sports Cup – Admission Arrangements
[Thursday, 01 July 2021 22:46]
The Forfar Athletic Directors have thought long and hard and in a way agonised over admission arrangements for their two home games in the Premier Sports Cup, formerly the League Cup against Ross County on Saturday, July 10th and Montrose on Tuesday, July 13th.
In the end, having discussed the situation with all involved in the process both locally and nationally in these difficult times, they have made the decision to restrict entry for these two fixtures to Forfar Athletic season ticket holders only.
Of course, the current sadly once again rapid increase in positive covid cases throughout the country but also in particular in the Dundee and Angus areas were also taken into account.
Of course, the purchase price of the season ticket only covers the 18 home league games and any friendly fixtures played at Station Park by the ‘Loons’ with gate receipts and for that matter live streaming fees in league cup ties being split between the two participating clubs.
We are delighted to advise that both Ross County and Montrose have agreed to accept a reduced admission price for the Athies two home games and we are grateful to them for this co-operation.
Admission charges for both fixtures will be £10 for Adults, £5 for Concessions.
Admission to the stand on both occasions will be via the east gate, while entry to the terracing will be through the two gates at each end of the main turnstile block in Carseview Road.
To gain entry, your season ticket card must be produced and the correct remittance as above handed over to the appropriate official manning the gate.
Details of the live streaming arrangements for both fixtures will follow.
We trust that all fans will understand the reasoning behind this difficult decision and that season ticket holders will look forward to the fixtures and feel they are being catered for as best we can in the circumstances.
As stated above, we are working in difficult times and hopefully, by the time we get round to our first home league fixture on August 7th, we will be in a position to operate a pay at the gate system for non-season ticket holders.
