‘Loons’ on travels in Scottish Cup

In a season where to date for Forfar Athletic home games are certainly not coming along as often as London Buses, we will again be hitting the road on October 23^rd following the draw for the second round of the Scottish Cup made this morning.

Gary Irvine and his players will be heading for either Aberdeenshire or Ayrshire as they try to progress in the national tournament to face either Formartine United or Cumnock Juniors.

The Highland League outfit who the Athies defeated earlier in the campaign in the SPFL Trust Trophy and the West of Scotland League side drew 2-2 at North Lodge Park, Pitmedden yesterday afternoon, the replay due this coming Saturday at Townhead Park, Cumnock.

Formartine currently sit in seventh spot in the Highland League table, while Cumnock occupy ninth position in the West of Scotland Premier Division.
