Forfar Athletic v Stenhousemuir – Boxing Day
Following the First Minister’s statement yesterday club officials have had lengthy discussions in regard to our scheduled cinch league2 fixture with Stenhousemuir at Station Park on Sunday first.
As all will be aware the attendance limit at all outdoor sporting events for a three week period from December 26this to be 500.
One metre social distancing will also be enforced in the stand and on the terracing, unless of course you are from the same household.
Although we have had only one attendance of over 500 at Station Park this season to date, our attendance figure at recent matches has hovered just below that mark.
Taking the time of the year into account and the recent form of the side, we were hoping for a crowd at least slightly in excess of the 500 figure on Boxing Day.
Therefore to make certain we stage the fixture and operate strictly within government stipulations we have no option than make admission to the game by ticket only, no easy feat at such short notice.
Arrangements will therefore be as follows;-
Forfar Athletic season tickets of course will be valid for the fixture and entrance to stand and ground will as usual be on production of the season ticket card.
A limited number of tickets for the match will be available to supporters for in person purchase in advance at the following times within the 1984 Lounge at Station Park. Cash payment only.
Thursday December 23rd 7p.m. to 8p.m.
Friday December 24th 11a.m. to 12 noon
Boxing Day 11.30a.m. to 12.30p.m.
For obvious logistical reasons, tickets will not be available in the lead up to kick-off on Boxing Day.
Normal cinch league2 prices will apply;-
Adults £14
Concessions (65 & over) £8
Under 17’s £5
There will be no limit on the number of tickets that one person can purchase.
Two final important points at this juncture.
This is an ever evolving situation and meetings are due to be held at SPFL level over the next 24 hours which could lead to potential changes to above arrangements.
On match day, although it is not mandatory Forfar Athletic FC request that all supporters attending the fixture take a lateral flow test.
