Forfar Athletic v Dunfermline Athletic

The ‘Loons’ will get their season underway with a pre-season friendly at Station Park on Tuesday evening against James McPake’s Dunfermline Athletic.

The home side will go into the game with half a dozen training sessions completed which have been hampered by a few niggling injuries and also holiday commitments against a ‘Pars’ side who have been back in full time training for a couple of weeks and also got some game time under their belts with a 2-0 win up at Cove on Saturday past.

It will therefore be a stern early season run out for the home side in a match which will be the first to be played on the new playing surface at Station Park, the contract completed during the course of last week prior to successful FIFA testing being carried out.

An important reminder to supporters that the kick-off on Tuesday night is at 7.30p.m. and not the normal 7.45p.m.

The 1984 Lounge at the ground will be open to all supporters from 6.15p.m. to 7.30p.m. but it will not re-open after the final whistle.
