Season 2023/24 Key Dates

Although we are only at the halfway stage of the current campaign, the SPFL have today issued some key dates for next season.

The season will start a week later than the current one, a pleasing aspect perhaps for quite a few.

This means that the group stages of the Viaplay League Cup will commence on Saturday July 15^th, concluding two weeks later on the weekend of the 29^th/30^th.

The final of the competition returns to a pre-Christmas slot next season with no winter World Cup to worry about, meaning that two finals of the tournament will take place not for the first time it has to said in the same calendar year.

The campaign in the cinch leagues 1/2 will begin on Saturday August 5^th with the final fixture card once again scheduled for the first Saturday in May before the play-offs get underway the following midweek.
