Bonnyrigg Rose v Forfar Athletic – match information
[Tuesday, 30 April 2024 12:32]
The ‘curtain will come down’ on the cinch league2 for another season as far as Forfar Athletic are concerned with a trip on Saturday first to New Dundas Park in Bonnyrigg.
Following two successive home wins, the ‘Loons’ now sit in mid table security although a victory in Midlothian and defeat for East Fife at home to Spartans on Saturday would see the Athies move up to a fifth place finish as was the case last term.
As emphasised by manager Ray McKinnon in his after match interview following the defeat of Stranraer, a third victory on the bounce will be the aim of all concerned this coming weekend.
The home side secured their safety and with it SPFL status for a third season thanks to a late equaliser at Ochilview on Saturday which saw them move three points clear of bottom club Stranraer but with a vastly superior goal difference.
Hopefully a few Forfar fans will make the 80 plus mile trip on Saturday as what has been a campaign of mixed results and performances comes to a close, with another heartening performance.
The kick-off on Saturday is at the usual time of 3p.m.
A full preview of the fixture will appear on FAFC social media channels on Friday.
