Forfar Athletic v Livingston (Premier Sports Cup) – Match Information
[Wednesday, 10 July 2024 14:13]
Livingston will make their first visit to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park on Saturday first since August of 2019.
On that occasion the ‘Lions’ returned to West Lothian with a 3-1 victory under their ‘belts’ in a second round knock- out tie in what was then referred to as the Betfred League Cup.
This coming weekend’s opening Group E clash in the same competition now under the Premier Sports banner will have the normal 3pm. kick-off.
The ‘Loons’ go into the fixture on the back of three wins in pre-season run outs with to be fair a squad which has been lacking certainly in depth if not in quality.
Manager Ray McKinnon however continued the quest to bolster his first team pool ahead of the opening competitive fixture and has confirmed two additions in this early part of the week, namely Scott Reekie and Finn Robson both of whom are likely to go straight into Saturday’s match day squad.
Saturday’s tie has a 3pm. kick-off and admission prices which have been agreed by all five clubs in the group are as follows;
Adults £12
Concessions (65 & over/Under 17’s) £8
Under 12’s £1
Payment can be made by cash at the turnstile.
Forfar Athletic season tickets are not valid for this fixture.
The 1984 Lounge at the ground will be open to supporters of both sides from 1pm. till kick-off and for approximately one hour after the final whistle.
A full preview of the clash with David Martindale’s side will appear on FAFC social media channels on Friday.
A reminder that the ‘Loons’ other three group stage fixtures in the competition are;-
Tuesday July 16th – Dunfermline Athletic (away)
Saturday July 20th – Cove Rangers (home)
Tuesday July 23rd – Spartans (away)
