Thank You
[Sunday, 20 October 2024 13:01]
First and foremost today a big vote of thanks to the Forfar Athletic supporters who turned out in force yesterday afternoon to back their side in what turned out to be a frenzied ninety minutes of football against league leaders East Fife.
Your continued backing this season is so appreciated and thankfully we can now look forward to a more stable fixture list with no large breaks between home games in the months ahead.
Thanks also to our match sponsors against the Fifers, Alpha Projects.
As all ‘Loons’ fans are now well aware the Dundee based company with strong Forfar connections are now major backers of the Athies cause and this support is of great assistance to the club.
Thanks again to Paul Cortese and his fellow Directors. Their party chose Finn Robson as the ‘Loons’ man of the match, Alpha guest Bruce Gordon a keen Forfar supporter himself carried out the presentation honours.
Our main club sponsor over so many years Orchard Timber Products had a party of employees as part of their overall package enjoying the delights of the Station Park Hospitality Experience in the Ian McPhee Lounge and all seemed to have a great day.
Thanks to John Docherty and his colleagues for their so appreciated support and we look forward to your return later in the campaign.
Exiled Forfarian Colin Anderson now resident in Dunblane along with a party of relatives and colleagues were with us not for the first time within the Doug Houston Lounge, while Liam Deas and his friends were occupying the Archie Knox Lounge on the day. Thanks to both groups for their continued backing in this manner.
Finally Rodney Leel and his mates took up the option of the 1984 Lounge for the first of two visits this campaign, support which again is so necessary to the club’s match day income. Thanks again lads.
Attention for William Hill League2 clubs now turns for one week only to the Scottish Gas sponsored Scottish Cup with all ten clubs involved in second round ties on Saturday first.
Thankfully Forfar Athletic were drawn at home at this stage of the tournament this time round after visits to Huntly and Kilwinning in recent times, with Lowland League side Berwick Rangers the opponents.
More news previews etc of this fixture will appear on the ‘Loons’ social media channels as the week progresses.
