Forfar Athletic v Peterhead – Match Information
[Tuesday, 25 March 2025 20:58]

Six games remain for the ‘Loons’ in the William Hill League2 campaign, four of them on home territory, two on foreign soil. The first of those games is certainly a mouth watering prospect as the new league leaders Peterhead are the most welcome visitors on Saturday first to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park.
Fixtures to date this season with the ‘Blue Toon’ outfit have certainly been close affairs. Peterhead triumphed 2-1 at Balmoor back in August, a hard fought 1-1 draw the outcome at Forfar in December, 2-2 the final score line up on the Buchan coast two months later.
Jim Weir and his squad return to Station Park following an excellent 1-0 success at Stranraer on Saturday past which saw their away match unbeaten run extended to five games, thirteen points having been accrued into the bargain. It goes without saying that all concerned are hopeful of an upturn in fortunes and in those four remaining home games, the last six fixtures in front of the superb and patient home support as we all know having yielded only two points.
All going well a few more of the Athies squad will have recovered from recent injuries and illness to boost the choices available to the management team for the fixture.
