Burns Supper
[Saturday, 30 January 2016 14:38]
The club staged a highly enjoyable and successful sold out Burns Supper in the 1984 Lounge at the ground on Friday night.
The chief organiser and master of ceremonies for the night was ‘Loons’ Director Bob Charlton who apart from addressing the haggis, gave a sterling rendition in suitable attire of Holy Willie’s Prayer.
The Immortal Memory was proposed by Donald MacKerron, while Bob Stewart from Kirrie gave a light hearted Toast to the Lassies. The reply which was to say the least well received came from Alison Summers.
Bill Burns told a few stories in his own inimitable fashion, while the Jim Brown trio provided music and song well into the night, while the piper on duty was David Myles.
Summing up, another great night.
Well done Bob.
