Baxter the Bridie Competing for First Silverware of Season

Baxter the Bridie will be lining up against mascots from all over Scotland tomorrow in a bid to lift the first silverware of the season in the Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell SPFL Mascot Race.
This annual event is due to take place at Hamilton Park Racecourse this Friday, 26 August, with the mascots vying for the prestigious title. Last year’s event ended in controversy when the winner was The Duke, the racecourse’s own mascot, who won the 1/2 furlong flat mascot race.
Baxter, the only representative from League Two, will be lining up alongside mascots from the following clubs with some possible late entries to be confirmed.
Airdrieonians - Rocky The Rooster
Ayr – Pandamonium
Celtic - Hoppy The Huddle Hound
Dundee Utd - Tiny Terror
Dunfermline Athletic – Sammy the Tammy
Falkirk – Fergus Fox
Greenock Morton - Cappie The Cat
Hamilton Racecourse - The Duke
Hibs - Sunshine The Leith Lynx
Kilmarnock - Nutz The Squirrel
Motherwell - Amber
Motherwell - Claret
Queen of the South - Dougie The Doonhammer
Rangers - Broxi Bear
St Mirren - Paisley Panda

If any Loons’ supporters are planning to be at the races please note the Mascot Race will get underway at 4.45pm before the main races of the day so get there in plenty of time to see Baxter take on the competition!
