MATCH PREVIEW: Forfar Athletic v Formartine United
[Thursday, 06 July 2017 13:15]
The ‘Loons’ will continue their build up to their opening competitive fixture at Glebe Park on the 18th of the month when they welcome Highland League outfit Formartine United to Station Park on Saturday for their second pre-season friendly.
The Pitmedden based side who finished third in their league last term albeit only a point behind Buckie Thistle and Cove Rangers will be making their first visit to Station Park. They also had an excellent home success in December of last year on Scottish Cup duty thumping Annan Athletic 4-0 at the well appointed North Lodge Park.
The home side will be along similar lines to Tuesday evening for the game as they continue to improve their match fitness. A few trialists are again likely to appear in the line-up with local lad Marc McCallum recently returned from Plymouth Argyle likely to continue in goal. Mark Millar, Scott McBride and Ousman See all contributed to the victory over Cove on their debuts for the club and they will again feature, though Dylan Easton’s first start may have to wait a week.
Chris Fordyce is the man in the middle on Saturday.
Admission is £6 for adults, £3 concessions with season tickets valid.
Season tickets will be on sale in the 1984 Lounge from 2.15p.m. till kick-off.
The lounge itself will be open for business from 1.30p.m. till kick-off and again on the final whistle for around an hour.
A limited number of team sheets for the game along with fixture cards will be available in the lounge and at the Refreshment Kiosk.
The Club Shop will also be open on Saturday.
