Summary – The ‘Loons’ after a one-week break head to the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday first to resume ‘hostilities’ against the team currently sitting second in the league table.
The ‘Bairns’ have recorded two victories already this campaign over the Athies, although many felt that the home side perhaps deserved a share of the spoils in the early November clash at Station Park when, to say the least, a few pivotal decisions on the day went against them.
Forfar will head to the central belt with a near injury-free squad, Steven Doris likely to make his debut following his arrival from Arbroath. Manager Stuart Malcolm is confident of bolstering his squad within the next 24 hours, with one signing all but sealed and others in the pipeline.
Falkirk have added to their player pool since the registration window opened with the singing of Rafa De Vita on loan from Livingston, while Ben Hall and Josh Todd have arrived from Partick and Dundee respectively.
‘Loons’ supporters will be hoping that their side can build on the encouraging display against Raith last time out. Since that fixture two weeks back, the players have kept in trim with their regular training sessions and a closed-door friendly on Thursday of last week.
Their Saturday hosts were in Scottish Cup action last weekend gaining a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Gayfield.
Let’s hope they have one eye on next Tuesday’s replay when the action commences this weekend!
