‘Loons’ final pre-season fixture

It seems odd to say the least to be penning an article on our final pre-season game with October month just around the corner, but as we all know we live in strange times.

Brechin City head for Station Park tomorrow night for another closed-door fixture, seven days prior to Stuart Malcolm’s side returning to competitive action against Dundee at Dens Park in the Betfred Cup.

The home side will head into the clash with Mark Wilson’s outfit with a handful of players likely to be absent through injury.

Steven Anderson and BJ Coll were the latest to join the casualty list during the 3-0 defeat at Gayfield on Saturday.

The manager though is hoping that Chris Antoniazzi will pass a late fitness check and consequently make his debut in a sky blue jersey.

Like their opponents, City have played three games to date losing to Cove Rangers and the ‘Lichties’ before snatching a late equaliser against Montrose at Links Park on Saturday past.

The match has a 7.45 p.m. kick-off and once again the Athies media team will be on hand to provide as update service to the ‘Loons’ fan base as is possible.
