Gary completes fifth summer signing.

‘Loons’ manager Gary Irvine was delighted when he completed his fifth close-season signing prior to the commencement of pre-season training yesterday morning when former Dumbarton midfield player Stefan McCluskey put pen to paper on a one year contract.

Stefan spent the last two seasons with the ‘Sons’ making 28 appearances and will now join his former colleague PJ Crossan in a sky blue shirt.

The Athies will be Stefan’s seventh senior club.

He joined the ranks at Airdrie as an 18-year-old back in 2008 and since then has also seen service with Clyde, Morton, Peterhead and Alloa before pitching up at the C&G Systems Stadium in 2019.

A warm welcome to Forfar to Stefan who will be in the squad for the opening friendly fixture against Dundee at Station Park on Saturday first.

The manager hopes to bring in a couple of further new additions in the week ahead, with potential loan signings currently being assessed.
