‘Dons’ midfielder head to Station Park

Gary Irvine this morning completed the temporary transfer of 20-year-old midfield player Mark Gallagher from Aberdeen.

Mark has will be with the ‘Loons’ for the whole of the forthcoming season and will meet up with his new teammates at training tonight and will be in the squad for the visit of Dundee on Saturday.

He will obviously continue to train on a full-time basis with his parent club.

Mark began his senior career with Ross County in 2018, moving to Pittodrie in January of last year, signing a two and a half year contract with the Granite City outfit.

We bid a warm welcome to Mark and hopefully, he will follow in the footsteps of Jack MacKenzie who after a successful loan spell at Forfar during the first part of last season went on to establish himself in the ‘Dons’ first-team line-up upon his return north.

The Athies management team are also currently working hard on a second loan deal which hopefully will be completed next week at the latest.
