Thank You

Thanks as ever go to the loyal Forfar fans who turned up to support the ‘Loons’ in their final scheduled league game of the season against Stenhousemuir yesterday on what turned out to be in the end a fairly dreich April afternoon.
Thankfully the draw coupled with Annan’s defeat at home from Kelty saw Ross and his teammates clinch a very well deserved runners-up spot in the final cinch league2 placings.
The home support from the Station Park terracing throughout the campaign to date has been rock solid as life has returned to near normality and it has been much appreciated by the Officials, Management and Players alike.
A few initiatives have also seen many local youngsters perhaps even in some cases sampling senior football in the ‘raw’ for the first time and this has undoubtedly added to the atmosphere at the ground and hopefully, many of those involved will become the Station Park ‘faithful’ of the future.
Obviously, we now look forward to that support continuing as we enter the end of season play-offs in the week ahead.
Back to yesterday’s fixture and once again a big thank you to Stuart McIntyre of Strathmore Potatoes Ltd who was our match sponsor.
Stuart is a tremendous backer of the ‘Loons’ in many different ways over the course of a calendar year so all were delighted to see his party many of them Station Park regulars enjoy a great day out in the Sam Smith Lounge on this occasion.
They chose the ever consistent Darren Whyte as their man of the match.
All four hospitality lounges were also full to capacity as usual.
Thanks are extended in this regard to David Adam, Sandra Cargill, Billy Douglas and Gordon Patullo who organised groups of friends and colleagues for what is now an annual day out for all.
As the season draws to a conclusion, although we all hope there are at least 12 days and 4 games left, a special word of praise to the hosts in the lounges who give up their time so willingly over the course of a season to see all present enjoy the Station Park Hospitality Experience.
