Sportsman’s Dinner – Friday September 16th

Although the sold out signs were posted some four weeks back with regard to the club’s first Sportsman’s Dinner in over three years with nearly 300 tickets sold, disappointingly we have now had one or two cancellations due to various reasons.

Therefore we are again able to offer tables of six/ten patrons at the cost of £45 per person for the event which is due to be staged in the Strathmore Hall on Friday 16^th September.

A three-course set meal is provided and the entertainers/speakers are first and foremost former Leeds United player John Stiles, son of the famous Nobby and one of the top raconteurs in the business. The latter will be appearing at the event for the second time.

John will be joined at the ‘top table’ at what is the club’s 25^th Sportsman’s Dinner by George McNeill the former World Professional Sprint Champion who amazingly was one of the speakers at the first Dinner back in 1996 and is still so highly regarded and in great demand on the Scottish after dinner circuit to this day.

Rodger Brunton will be the MC for the evening.
