Forfar Athletic v Albion Rovers
[Monday, 28 November 2022 23:09]
The ‘Loons’ return home on Saturday first for what is in fact their last fixture at Station Park of the calendar year and what a vital one it is to.
Albion Rovers are the visitors, the Coatbridge outfit currently sitting four points and three places above the home side in the cinch league2 table.
A win is therefore a vital commodity on the day for the Athies.
Rovers are one of the three sides that Forfar have triumphed over to date this league campaign, a comfortable 2-0 win recorded at the Reigart Stadium in mid-September.
Both sides exited the Scottish Cup on Saturday past, the ‘Loons’ losing out as we know to Dunfermline Athletic, while Albion were sunk by an extra time winner and the only goal of the contest against the University of Stirling who are currently flying high in the Lowland League.
Forfar Athletic were delighted with the number of supporters who made their way to East End Park on Saturday past and in fact cannot thank them enough for the way they have stuck by the club this season to date.
Hopefully, they will again turn out in reasonable numbers for this weekend’s fixture.
