December/January Fixtures

A reminder to the ‘Loons’ fan base that following our home cinch league2 fixture with Albion Rovers on Saturday first, we head for Ochilview on Saturday the 10^th of December to face Stenhousemuir.

This fixture was brought forward from its original date of December 24^th as both teams had a free Saturday due to their earlier elimination from the SPFL Trust Trophy.

It will also allow the management and players to ‘re-charge their batteries’ and enjoy the Christmas holiday weekend with family and friends without the worry of a competitive fixture.

Again as mentioned previously Forfar Athletic officials unlike others have stuck with the original date of Monday January 2^nd for the visit to Station Park of ‘first foots’ Elgin City.

Quite a few clubs have brought both their fixture for that date forward to Hogmanay as well as adjusting kick-off times, but the ‘Loons’ board felt that supporters still enjoy and look forward to the traditional New Year football fare.

Moving further into January, due to our Scottish Cup demise we will now have a free Saturday on the 21^st of the month, the date for the fourth round ties.
