Player Pot – An Update
[Friday, 16 December 2022 07:58]
Forfar Athletic Directors are delighted that to date quite a number of supporters and friends of the club from near and far as well as ‘Loons’ officials have chosen to support the ‘Player Pot’ scheme launched just over two weeks back either by purchasing one of the packages made available, buying shares or simply by making a donation to the ‘Loons’ cause.
Since the launch performances on the field have continued to show signs of rapid improvement under the new management team with two victories being achieved at home to Albion Rovers and away to Stenhousemuir.
Obviously however Ray hopes initially to freshen up the current squad in the January Registration Window to continue this improvement in performance and league position.
In the first instance this means moving clear of the lower reaches of the cinch league2 and what lies beyond – who knows?
Finance will be made available to him rest assured to implement change.
This however is where the current board are giving local businesses and supporters the chance to play a part throughan involvement in boosting the ‘Player Pot’ available to the manager.
OPTION 1 as you will see below is the opportunity to purchase one of the packages being made available throughout the months of December and January which include various match day hospitality offers etc.
As you will see they range in price from £250 to £2,000.
£250 – 50 shares in FAFC plus 2 complimentary tickets for a match this season
£500 – 100 shares plus invitation to a Q&A with Ray McKinnon and other club officials in 1984 Lounge plus 2 complimentary tickets
£750 – 250 shares plus 2 complimentary match tickets with food & drinks package in the 1984 Lounge at a match of your choice plus invite to above Q&A
£1,000 – 500 shares plus Boardroom Hospitality for a match of your choice plus invite to Q&A
£2,000 – 750 shares plus Boardroom Hospitality at two matches of your choice plus invite to Q&A
OPTION 2 is simply to either purchase shares in the club for the first time or expand your current shareholding. The minimum and we emphasise minimum purchase is 200 x £1 shares.
OPTION 3 as some have chosen to do is simply make a donation to the pot.
All monies raised in the months of December and January from all three options will rest assured be totally utilised to boost the playing resources at the club either in the January window or in the ensuing close season.
Supporters can be assured as well that the Directors will continue to pursue all their normal fund raising activities into the bargain but in post covid times this is proving to be a difficult proposition, with for example the recent Sportsman’s Dinner and Golf Day not bringing in revenue similar to pre 2020.
Anyone wishing to make assisting the club through involvement in any of the above three options please do not hesitate to make contact with any FAFC Director or e mail;-
