Thank You
[Sunday, 15 January 2023 11:29]
The first expression of gratitude this weekend following our victory over league leaders Dumbarton which saw the ‘Loons’ move into fifth place in the table has to go the management and playing staff for the way in which they have at present turned the season around and the appreciation of their efforts could certainly be heard loud and clear from the stand and terracing at yesterday’s fixture.
On that subject, a big thank you to the home support who as they have done in recent weeks gave tremendous backing to the team from the first to the last minute.
Our home support has as the figures prove increased by around the 100 mark at recent fixtures and let us hope that figure can continue to grow in the remainder of the campaign.
A big thank you to our match sponsor Bill Milne of Milnbank Developments one of our longest-standing supporters in this manner.
Despite being slightly incapacitated himself due to a footballing injury, Bill and his party seemed as ever to enjoy their day within the Boardroom and the Sam Smith Lounge.
Not surprisingly they chose goal scorer Ben Armour as the man of the match.
On the hospitality front, thanks are extended to Scott Dryden and his friends, Scott Yule of SGY Plumbing in Kirriemuir, as well as long-time supporters of this venture Chris Machin and Jane Rae and their parties who occupied the four main lounges, not forgetting Vice Chairman Alastair Donald and his buddies from Laurencekirk who had booked the 1984 Lounge package.
Club officials were also delighted to welcome Greg Mathers and his wee group to the boardroom on the day following Greg’s very generous purchase of this package at the Sportsman’s Dinner auction back in September.
Two away days at Stirling and Coatbridge are next up before Stranraer arrive at Station Park on February 4th.
