After the postponement of the re-scheduled fixture at Stirling on Saturday past, the ‘Loons’ management and playing staff will be desperate to get back to active service this coming Saturday when they are due to head to the Reigart Stadium or Cliftonhill as it is better known to face Albion Rovers.
Rovers will be hopeful that the favourable weather forecast for the week ahead is correct as they also had no fixture over the past weekend.
Both teams will go into this Saturday’s game in good heart, Albion after a 4-0 win ten days back at Stranraer, Forfar of course having picked up three points that same afternoon courtesy of a 2-1 home win over league leaders Dumbarton.
Two games did place on Saturday past in the cinch league2 the results seeing a few positional changes in the league table.
Annan had a comfortable 4-0 home win over bottom of the table Bonnyrigg Rose, while Stranraer picked up all three points courtesy of a 3-1 win over East Fife at Methil.
Those results mean that the Athies and Rovers will go into Saturday’s contest in 7th and 9th place respectively in the table with 25 and 23 points from 20 games played.
