Thanks Again

Well, we did not quite make it five wins on the bounce, but our recent undefeated record remains intact after a hard-fought point was secured against the ‘Warriors’ yesterday afternoon.
Once again the home support turned out in good numbers, in all probability about a 15/20 per cent increase on what was the ‘norm’ at the Autumn home games.
Thanks to you all. It is appreciated by officials, management and most of all the players.
Our match sponsor yesterday was former Stenhousemuir Chairman Gordon Thompson, his company Allsports Construction and Maintenance having been the main contractors on the pitch relaying project last close season.
Gordon and his party which included many of the current ‘Warriors’ Directors seemed to enjoy their afternoon with us as well as the fiercely contested ninety minutes on the park and a big thank you is due to Gordon for his support of the ‘Loons’ in this manner.
In the circumstances it was agreed that a Man of the Match for both sides would be chosen, Mark McCallum and Sean Crighton the respective winners of a bottle of bubbly.
The four hospitality lounges were full as ever and thanks to Barry Carnegie and friends, Grant Farquharson and friends, Lesley Keillor the daughter of former Chairman George Enston and friends as well as Forfar Golf Club’s current President Dave McGregor and his fellow golfing buddies for their support.
Thanks also to Sean Baird and his group who supported the 1984 Lounge package on the day.
New Dundas Park in Bonnyrigg is the next ‘port of call’ on Saturday first and it would appear a larger than normal travelling support is a distinct possibility before Stirling Albion are the visitors to Station Park on the 25th of the month.
