Thanks

The last game of the ‘Loons’ season is over and the home fans were rewarded with a late winner in an entertaining encounter, the only disappointment on the day was the very harsh red card incurred in the first period by Roberto Nditi for two offences deemed to each merit a card, yellow in colour.

Thanks again to the supporters of the Athies cause who have turned up all season in all weathers and who again yesterday gave great backing to the home side.

A special thank you to Stuart McIntyre of Strathmore Potatoes our match sponsor for the visit of the Fifers.  They chose Marc McCallum as their man of the match and Stuart is pictured presenting Marc with his award.   

Stuart is a great supporter of the club both on the terracing and in many other ways and it was great to see his party thoroughly enjoy their day.

A word of thanks also to David Adam, Sandra Cargill and Gordon Patullo who all organised a group of friends for their now annual end-of-season day out in the hospitality lounges, not forgetting our own Financial Director Raymond Hutt along with his colleagues and customers from James Hair & Co in Cupar who were also most welcome guests.

A wee rest now perhaps although the modern-day pressure of running a football club is nowadays without doubt a 52-week task, with a pre-season friendly or two probably only eight weeks away!
