Thank You
[Sunday, 08 October 2023 12:10]
A disappointing outcome at the end of the ninety minutes for all of a ‘Loons’ persuasion against the league leaders Peterhead who on the day were ruthless in front of goal at Station Park yesterday.
A big thank you to the 500-plus supporters of both sides who braved the incessant rain to make their way to Station Park.
Hope all have dried out by now.
The club welcomed a party from Peterson Edzell Ltd a logistics company situated at the one-time RAF base on the outskirts of the village as first-time match sponsors.
Their party certainly seemed to enjoy all aspects of their day, despite the weather and the end result and thanks go to director Chris Coull and his colleagues within the company for this most welcome support.
They chose Josh Skelly as their Forfar Athletic Player of the Match, Bill Blair was designated to carry out the après match presentation.
There was a welcome back in the hospitality lounges to Darren Leith, Gary McLuskey, Scott Neave, and Carl Valentine and their respective groups of friends.
It was good to see you all on return visits and thanks again for your valued and continued support.
The Athies have no game next weekend with SPFL Trust Trophy ties taking over the truncated fixture card. Boroughbriggs the destination and a clash with Elgin City is the next cinch league2 fare on the ‘menu’ on the 21st of the month.
