Club Statement

Further to the Club’s previous statement concerning the incident which took place after our match against The Spartans, Club officials are disappointed and concerned to advise that sadly there was further trouble after our match against Peterhead.
Following the match, a small number of individuals intentionally made their way towards the Peterhead supporter’s bus, where a confrontation then broke out. These individuals also threw items at the bus and kicked it several times whilst it was waiting in traffic.
Police Scotland were immediately contacted, and one individual was arrested at the scene. We understand that criminal charges have already been brought against this individual. Furthermore, Club officials have carefully reviewed CCTV footage of the incident and four other individuals involved have been identified. Their details have been provided to Police Scotland, who are currently reviewing the matter and it may be that charges will be brought against these individuals in due course in addition. These individuals should also expect to be banned from attending Station Park.
We have made our stance on these matters very clear.
The Club will not stand for unacceptable conduct in or around Station Park. All supporters, whether home or away fans, should be able to attend Station Park without being subjected to abusive conduct of this nature.
In response to these incidents, we have decided to not only increase our stewarding numbers, but also to increase the Police presence on matchdays at Station Park, beginning with our home tie against Clyde on 9 March 2024. This will regrettably result in additional cost to the Club. We will not allow a small minority of individuals to tarnish the name of our Club, or indeed the overwhelming majority of our brilliant supporter who attend our matches and support the team in a positive way.
