Three Home Fixtures to look forward to in April
[Monday, 01 April 2024 16:15]
All ten clubs in the cinch league2 are now entering the finishing straight as far as the 2023/4 season is concerned with certainly at this stage not one meaningless fixture on the horizon.
The ‘Loons’ begin their April campaign with a visit from play-off chasing Dumbarton on Saturday first, then head to the Balmoor Stadium the following weekend to face a Peterhead side currently sitting second in the league table.
That trip to the Buchan coast is followed by a double header at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park.
A rejuvenated East Fife side under Dick Campbell are the visitors on the 20th of the month, Stranraer at this juncture still sitting perilously close to the tenth spot in the league rankings the visitors for our last home game of the season on April 27th.
Hopefully over the next few weeks the loyal Station Park fan base will be rewarded with a few victories on home ‘soil’ to end a campaign which has disappointingly only seen Elgin City, Spartans and Clyde head home pointless in the fifteen games to date, on a positive note.
Moving on to early May and the Athies league season draws to a close with a visit to Bonnyrigg on Saturday the 4th.
