Peterhead v Forfar Athletic
[Tuesday, 09 April 2024 10:55]
Following two defeats on the bounce and results elsewhere the ‘Loons’ go into the final quartet of cinch league2 fixtures knowing that a point or two are still probably required to ease any worries of finishing in the dreaded 42nd spot in the SPFL ‘pyramid.’
There is currently a five point gap between the Athies and the bottom two Stranraer and Clyde, the former of whom visit Station Park on the penultimate Saturday of the campaign.
Forfar also have a much superior goal difference at present.
Ray McKinnon’s side certainly have no easy task in front of them on Saturday first when they head to the Buchan coast to face Peterhead.
The ‘Blue Toon’ outfit currently sit in second place in the league table on 52 points, ahead of Dumbarton on goal difference only.
The ‘Loons’ did however turn in one of their best performances of the season to date back on the Saturday before Christmas, two Seb Ross goals clinching a 2-1 victory.
More of the same please!
