Thank you

The ‘Loons’ supporters have suffered a few disappointments this season but none more so than yesterday afternoon.
Recent form had suggested that the home side had every chance of confirming their SPFL status on the day with a win or at worst a draw against visitors Bonnyrigg Rose but it was the away side who were the deserved winners by the end of the ninety minutes.
The nerve jangling now continues with both the ‘Loons’ and ‘Rose’ having two games left to play.
The home fan base yet again turned out in ever increasing numbers for the game hoping to see a fourth home win of the league campaign recorded, a crowd 0f 903, the largest of the season and club officials can only pass on their thanks for the backing provided on the day.
Thanks also to that great supporter of the Athies cause local painting and decorating contractor Lee Hutcheon who sponsored the fixture. Lee is a great backer of the club as well as assisting himself as a match day host on occasions. The fare on offer on the park sadly brought Lee back to earth in footballing terms after he had been at been at Old Trafford on Thursday night watching his other team perform one of the great comebacks of modern times.
Despite the result we trust his party enjoyed their day as usual, Cameron Logan their choice as the home side’s Man of the Match.

Thanks are also extended for their continued support to both James F. Stephen Archtiects in particular Fred, David and Paul who had a party in the Doug Houston Lounge and to Andrew Shepherd Construction who had a group of guests in the Ian McPhee Lounger enjoying the delights of the Station Park Hospitality Experience.
A similar debt of gratitude to Scott Neave from Kirriemuir and Bruce Gordon for organising their usual groups who took up residence for the afternoon in the Archie Knox and Stewart Kennedy Lounges. As with many others over the course of what is turning out to be long season their continued support in this manner is so appreciated.
Finally thanks to Jim McDevitt and friends who were first time guests within the 1984 Lounge on the day.
The Capital City and a clash with third in the table Edinburgh City is next on the agenda, the final league game a visit on May 3rd from Stirling Albion.
