Thanks Again

Without doubt first in line for a big thank you today are the management staff and players who provided a real piece of festive cheer with a very heartening 4-2 win over Elgin City yesterday afternoon.
It was a fine team performance with many of the younger element in the squad excelling on the day, Scott Shepherd without doubt deserving the main acclaim from the fans in the aftermath. The overall display and outcome in the wake of three successive league defeats was all the more noteworthy when one considers that six of the most experienced players on the staff, skipper Stuart Morrison, Matty Allan, Jake Dolzanski, Kieran Inglis, Ross MacLean and Lewis Martin were all ruled out through injury or suspension.
Off the field it was a pleasure to welcome Ryan Todd of Todd Joinery Ltd as our match sponsor on the day. The company support the club in many a different sphere notably with back of shirt advertising throughout the campaign and it was great to see their guests enjoy their afternoon and early evening with us. Ryan himself is back on the coaching staff at Forfar United this term and they have had a relatively successful first half of the campaign and we take the opportunity to wish the Guthrie Park Club all the best in the remainder of the season.
Thanks Ryan for your continued backing and to nobody’s surprise his group chose four goal hero Scott Shepherd as the Man of the Match.

All four hospitality lounges were full to capacity as usual, all parties seeming to thoroughly enjoy the festive fare on offer both on and off the park?
Thanks to Alan Davie and family for their support as ever and to Club Director Robin Beattie, Darren Leith and Nicola Lindsay for organising the most welcome return parties in the McPhee, Knox and Kennedy lounges respectively.
Blair Lowson and his well attired mates took up the option of the 1984 Lounge package, thanks lads for your backing.
Finally thanks again to Graeme Campbell and his good lady from The Stag Forfar for once again generously sponsoring the match ball.
Before concluding, an important pat on the back to the Forfar Athletic supporters in the crowd of 671 our highest league attendance of the season to date for their excellent backing of the players on the day. Undoubtedly when we went one down in the first period, you acted as a 12th man, support that is so much appreciated.
The year of 2026 in football terms begins with a visit to Hamilton on Saturday first as we begin the third quarter of the William Hill League2 campaign, Clyde currently sitting in third place in the league table our opponents. A full appraisal of our January fixtures will appear on our social media channels on Monday.
