Thank Again

The management team and players did the supporters proud with a thoroughly professional performance against league leaders East Kilbride yesterday afternoon, which brought a fully merited three points. So first and foremost, a big thank you to Jim and his staff, and Stuart Morrison and his colleagues for their efforts in recent weeks, which have seen our push for the final play-off spot gain momentum.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks also to the home support for their backing throughout the ninety minutes yesterday afternoon, much appreciated by the players we can assure you.
Our match sponsor for the visit of ‘Kilby’ was that great supporter of the Forfar Athletic cause in recent times Lee Hutcheon, Painter & Decorator Limited, who has built up a well-run painting and decorating business in the ‘toonie.’
Lee also helps out as a hospitality host on occasions; your support is so welcome by all connected with the club, and it was a delight to see your party, which also included, for a short spell after the final whistle, perhaps our youngest fan, having their usual great day out. Their group chose club skipper and goal scorer on the day, Stuart Morrison, as the Man of the Match, not an easy decision on an afternoon when all eleven home players were undoubtedly in the running. Lee and his good lady Donna carried out the presentation honours.

Thanks also to the four groups who packed out the main hospitality units, as always.
Firstly, it was great to welcome a party from our main sponsors, Orchard Timber Products Ltd, now of course under the Beatsons Building Supplies banner. Orchard’s support over the years, as all know, has been a major boost to the Athies.
Another of our major sponsors, Fiskens of Forfar, occupied the Ian McPhee Lounge on the day and thanks also to this well-known local ‘institution’ in the best sense of the word for their backing.
Keelan Deas and his mates were on a welcome return visit to the complex, while we also welcomed Ally Gentles and a group of friends. Thanks to both parties for your support.
Finally, Iain Hedley and his mates, the majority like Iain these days, made the journey from the ‘deep south’ to be with us on the day in the 1984 Lounge. We trust you again enjoyed the package on offer in what was on the day a boisterous atmosphere within. All in the group were delighted that their record over time now stands at four wins from four visits. Thanks for your support, and definitely ‘haste ye back’.
An undoubted ‘six-pointer’ now lies ahead at Stranraer on Saturday; hopefully, a few ‘Loons’ fans will make the lengthy journey to Stair Park to lend their support. Edinburgh City are the visitors to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park on the 25th of the month.
