Stranraer v Forfar Athletic – Match Information

The ‘Loons’ head south to Stair Park on Saturday first for what is another vital fixture in what is proving to be a dramatic run in to the close of the William Hill league2 campaign.

With all teams having three games left to play, East Kilbride and the Spartans are fighting a two horse race for the title, Clyde look safe in third spot, while four clubs Annan Athletic, Elgin City, Stranraer and ourselves are fighting it out for the fourth spot and with it the final place in the end of season play-offs.

Saturday’s opponents and the ‘Loons’ share that fourth position points wise at present, Chris Aitken’s outfit having the slight advantage over Jim Weir’s side, being currently one goal better off as far as goal difference is concerned.

Both teams recorded excellent victories over the two title challengers on Saturday past and are undoubtedly the league’s form teams at present. A tense and hopefully exciting ninety minutes lie ahead it would appear.
