Thank You

April has certainly been a month to remember for ‘Loons’ management, players, officials and supporters with a hundred per cent league record, four wins recorded in four starts, the end product a place in the League1 play-offs.
There have been times during the course of the campaign with such a scenario would have been beyond the wildest dreams of the Athies support so ‘hat’s off’ and a big thank you to Jim, his staff and the players for achieving this initial goal.
Thanks also to the home support who turned up in increased numbers yesterday afternoon to give excellent backing to the players from the first whistle and it was great once again after the trials and tribulations of last season to see so many happy faces on the terracing come 4.45pm. yesterday afternoon.
The message now is re-charge your ‘batteries’ and get your voices in peak condition for Tuesday week, the date of our first leg semi-final tie which will take place against opponents unknown at present at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park that evening.
Thanks also to our match sponsor for the visit of Edinburgh City Stuart McIntyre of Strathmore Potatoes Ltd. Stuart has for some number years now been the sponsor at our last home game of the season and his party of colleagues and friends many stretching back to their now far off school days appeared to have their usual great day out.
On an afternoon when many of the homes side must have been in contention, Stuart and his group chose Jake Sutherland as their Man of the Match.

The four hospitality lounges were all full to capacity as is normal.
Thanks once again to Club Director Scott Barn for his support not for the first time this season under the D & A Factors Ltd banner in this respect.
The three other lounges were also occupied by returning ‘clients.’ David Adam and Gordon Patullo both themselves members of the match day hosts rota organised groups of friends for a day out in the Archie Knox and Stewart Kennedy lounges respectively as they have done at the final home game of the campaign for a few years now.
Thanks again to all concerned for your support in this manner which is much appreciated.
Finally the Doug Houston Lounge was ‘alive’ to say the least as the group present organised by Sandra Cargill helped to celebrate Nicola Lindsay’s 40th birthday. A good day was had by all, the party including a handful of the match day team over the course of the season who make sure it all systems go behind the scenes game by game as the campaign progresses.
A word of thanks as well to Fred and Rosemary Stephen who were once again the match ball sponsors at the fixture, support which is very much appreciated.
On the playing front we will complete our William Hill League2 programme with a visit to Annan on Saturday first when Jim may take the chance to make a change or two to the starting line-up with the first leg tie due just over 72 hours later, but time will tell. One thing is sure whatever team takes to the field at Galabank they will be keen to avoid defeat and breach the fifty point mark for the season, of that you can be sure.
