What's Happening At Station Park

A round up of the summer activity around the ground.
Now that the celebrations are over, and the Loons fans have finished celebrating, has Station Park gone into hibernation for a few weeks? Most certainly not!!!!! A programme of work has started to repair any damage to the pitch after a hard winter, and to improve the facilities at the Park.
The Pitch
The pitch has been "verti-drained", top dressed and fertilised, and the worn areas at the goalmouths repaired and re-seeded. The Linesman's runs, specifically at the Mert side where we had a few problems widening the pitch a few weeks ago to meet the Club Licence requirements, have also been repaired and re-seeded.
The Facilities
The Club are very aware that the Toilets at the East Turnstile end require replacement. Currently a Ladies/Gents Toilet Cabin is being sourced which will be located in the same area as the existing toilets.
It is also intended to renew the gents only toilet, situated behind the Refreshment Cabin, with a smaller Ladies/Gents unit, specifically for the fans that use the Stand.
The Ground
The West outer wall has sustained increasing weather damage over the last few years. This has necessitated urgent, expensive remedial work to halt the damage. The complete wall is currently being cladded which will ensure that the damage will not continue.
