Match Sponsorship/Hospitality – Update
[Wednesday, 13 October 2021 18:18]
We are now within 72 hours of the return for the first time in 20 months of a fixture being played at Station Park with a Match Sponsor in place and guests enjoying the delights of the Station Park Match Day Hospitality Experience.
At this juncture as more normality returns to life in general and the staging of outdoor events in particular, we thought we would take the opportunity to advise where exactly we stand at present.
Match Sponsorship
With fourteen home cinch league2 games remaining, the Directors are delighted to say that we have a match sponsor in place for thirteen of these fixtures, the exception being the 8th of January fixture against Stranraer.
However they are awaiting a response from a couple of interested parties and that void should be filled within the next week or so.
Match Day Hospitality
All 42 available packages within the Houston, Kennedy and Knox Lounges have been booked for the remainder of the season we are delighted to report.
Obviously we are one lounge down at present as it is being utilised on a match day for various functions with the Boardroom still out of bounds.
Hopefully this will not be the case for too much longer and once that lounge becomes available, first choice of packages at the remaining fixtures at the time will be afforded to those who missed out in the original ballot or who in the circumstances having supported this venture in previous seasons assisted the club by taking a step back this time round.
Match Ball Sponsorship
With not having the Boardroom facility available to entertain the match ball sponsor and their guest or guests, this option has had to be put on the ‘back burner.’
However this situation is constantly under review.
1984 Lounge Hospitality Package
This option for a slightly reduced package with a reserved table in the 1984 Lounge was introduced at a limited number of fixtures in 2017 and over time had become very popular with female supporters of the club in particular.
In current circumstances, club officials are still mindful of the need to not see overcrowding become a problem in the lounge on match day especially in the run up to kick-off.
Taking this into account and also the requirement at present for the lounge for other options during the half time interval, it has been decided as with the match ball package to delay a decision on a start up date.
Hopefully this situation can be re-visited at the very least by the turn of the year.
To sum up progress is being made quicker than many thought might be possible on a return to total normality on a match day, with restrictions on terracing movement lifted for example this coming weekend into the bargain.
Thanks to all those who most importantly have backed the management and players since the start of the season, also to all for their patience and co-operation in the prevailing circumstances.
Rest assured your backing is highly valued and appreciated by all behind the scenes at Station Park.
